Professional practice Senior project - CSU East Bay- 2017
I created a fictitious brand called Zern-designs that was inspired by Great Gatsby and the Art deco French motif. I was able to combine multiple mediums of design into a leather goods brand that include illustration, product design, prototyping, packaging design, Foil stamping, 3d rendering, design format conversion for laser cutting, product photography, and retouching. ( This project is still used as an example for the professional practice class at CSU East Bay)
Programs used: Illustrator, Fusion 360, Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom
This brand was introduced with a collection of five leather goods products named “Deco collection” that consisted of three wallets, a multi-key holder, a key clip, and a backpack.
The first was industrial design and prototyping of leather wallets and a backpack.
The design process consisted of prototyping designs done on illustrator and mocked-up on paper for 5 products that were later prototyped on leather. Design conversion for textures designs on the laser cutter for backpack design etching.
Packaging design and placement of products for presentation on specific box dimensions.
Brand identity and logo design for specific products with individual packaging designs.
All the packaging was designed on illustrator and later transferred on a printing plate for foil stamping.
