This project was a collaboration of a fictitious winery inspired by a famous song by Carlos Santana called “samba pa-ti”.
The design process was to develop a sleek and elegant design that would be used on a nontraditional bottle that is used in assembly line fabricated bottles. Instead, I wanted to design something that exudes artisanal work and a lavish lifestyle in a bottle by giving it its one-of-a-kind and limited edition feel. I was able to develop a color layout along with elements like gold foil stamping, scrolling design, and type font combinations to elevate the composition without looking too busy.
Scrolling deco textures were drawn on Adobe illustrator and edited to flow with the font on the label. I was also able to find the proper texture on the material for the wine label paper to make it look like linen cardstock since I enjoy finding new materials and giving that extra attention to detail. Then all the final elements came together in photoshop by adding proper labeling and licensing along with a designated barcode.
The following images are process updates of how the design was developed and came together from the start to finish.
